Alberta Portrait Photographer - Wendy + Kyle's Engagement Session

Meet Weny and Kyle.
This fun loving couple is getting married!
I have known Wendy since I was about 10 years old. Her and my mom both worked together at the same travel agency. They became really good friends and soon Wendy came over to babysit my sister and I. We always looked forward to those times because they were always such a blast! Wendy soon became our crazy big sister.
I remember when she met Kyle. She was babysitting us once when our parents went away and we all went to bed. A few minutes later I could hear her talking on the phone until all hours of the night and the next morning I found out it was with Kyle. The next time she stayed at our place her and Kyle were still together and I believe we watched a scary movie or something and we were all freaked out so Kyle came over to hangout for a bit until we weren't scared and could all go to bed. As I grew up Wendy was always there, and Kyle was there too to help out whenever I needed. I love them both to pieces! My sister and I still try and get our parents to go away so Wendy can come over and stay with us.
I was so excited last year when Wendy and Kyle came back from their trip to Mexico and saw a text message with a picture of a ring. My mom was the one that told me the news and I couldn't have been any happier!
I was even more excited when I was home for reading week and I got to capture an engagement session of the two of them! Wendy was texting me everyday the week before the shoot nervous about where to go, when to go, what to wear and every other question you would have before getting your portrait taken! When we showed up for the session she had the backseat of their truck turned into a closet with many outfit changes, coats, shoes and jewlery. I couldn't help but laugh at all of this but it just made it all the more fun! We had a blast trecking through the snow and exploring around town. We got a nice sunny day which was perfect and even got a few minutes of big flaky snow coming down!
I'm so excited for these two to get married next year and so unbelievably happy for the two of them!
In the meantime take a look at some of my favorite pictures from their engagement session.
